It all started with making my mother-in-laws 70th birthday cake back in 2009. I created a basic square iced cake with hearts and the passion grew from there!
I knew I had an artistic flair and wanted to gain a greater knowledge of cake decoration and sugar craft, so I took myself off to college and never looked back.
At first, I juggled this along with going to work and trying to set up a small cake business at the same time. I'd be baking cakes at the crack of dawn, then after returning from a days work, carrying on decorating cakes until late at night.
Now, after making many cakes and perfecting moistness and flavours, being meticulous, lots of hard work, patience, and turning my kitchen into a cake emporium, it eventually paid off with many customers coming back each year along with new recommendations. You get to realise how important that special cake is for people and it makes it all worth while when you see the look on people's faces when they get to see the finished creation.
Doing something you enjoy and having a passion for it with the bonus of doing it as your job... you can't ask for anything better!
Happy Days Cakes is a registered food business and has top marks of 5* for the Food Hygiene Rating Certificate from Warrington Borough Council.

The size of your cake will be determined by the number of guests you wish to serve, and what size portions you intend on serving. To help you determine which size cake you'll need, please refer to the tables below. (Please note that if you are having models/features on the top of the cake, you may need a larger size cake to fit it all on.)
Please note that if you wish to use your wedding cake for dessert, the servings are larger and therefore larger cakes will be required.
Fillings & Flavours
Most popular flavours are...
Vanilla sponge with jam & buttercream filling
Chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream or chocolate ganache
Lemon sponge with lemon/lemon curd buttercream
In addition, other flavours to choose from are Carrot cake with cream cheese filling, traditional fruitcake, red velvet sponge with cream cheese filling.
How to keep your cake.
Cakes are baked fresh with no preservatives, additives, stabilisers or gelling agents, therefore they do not have the shelf life of shop bought cakes. To enjoy your cake at it’s best, it is advised to eat it within 3 – 4 days of receiving. It can be kept in room temperature, but not in direct sunlight, a cold storage area, fridge or the kitchen where there can be high moisture content and heat.
Wedding Cakes & Consultation Appointments
Consultations are by appointment only and are held at my home studio in Paddington, Warrington or can of course be made via email and over the telephone if you prefer. You will be able to view some display cakes before we sit down and have a chat about your cake and you may have magazines, pictures, invites etc that you would like to incorporate into your design. We will work through design, colours, delivery and flavours and you will have the chance to sample some cake. You will receive a complimentary sample of classic vanilla sponge cake and any other request for different flavours there is a small charge for which will be deducted from the wedding cake cost, should you wish to book your wedding cake with me.
FRESH FLOWER & NON–EDIBLE ITEMS
At the request of the client, cakes sometimes contain non-edible items such as brooches, ribbons, inner supports, flowers etc.
If your cake design requires fresh flowers, your florist will supply these. I will liaise directly with your florist regarding the specific floral requirements and decorate the cake with the flowers on site.
Please be aware that some flowers are not suitable for cake decoration or may be toxic if eaten. Speak to your florist for details regarding toxicity. Any contamination to your cake from fresh flowers is not our responsibility

The cake was excellent. I cannot fault a single thing. Right from starting with suggestions as to what I could do for my 4 year old's birthday cake. Sam was brilliant with her ideas.
The cake itself was super fantastic! It was a hello kitty cake, extremely well designed and decorated. I mentioned to her initially that i didn't like it too sweet and she was spot on. The kids and the adults enjoyed the taste of it completely.
The cake was also very good value for money. A good size was very well priced and was worth every penny. I would most certainly recommend Happy Days Cakes to everyone while I'm waiting for my next occasion.
